​Jill Herrick Future Teacher Scholarship   

REASON ESTABLISHED: Jill Herrick was a third grade teacher in the Berea City School District from 1965-1995. She loved the students and teaching. Jill had an exciting, rewarding and fulfilling 30-year career and she established this scholarship support the education of future teachers.
 
CRITERIA:  The Jill Herrick Future Teacher Scholarship will be awarded to one graduating senior at Berea-Midpark High School who:

Primary Criteria:

• is planning, in the fall of his/her high school graduation, to attend a 4-5 year accredited college or university in the United States of America to pursue a teaching license
• is academically in the upper 40% of his/her graduating class
• provides evidence of a passion for teaching and/or working with children

 
Secondary Criteria:

• demonstrates financial need
