The Carolyn Kreighbaum Memorial Scholarship ​

Reason established: This scholarship was established in November of 2009 to honor the memory of Carolyn Kreighbaum. Carolyn was a long-time science teacher in the Berea City School District and, even after her retirement, worked as a substitute teacher in the district. She had a deep love for teaching and for all of the students she worked with throughout her teaching career.
 
Criteria: This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from Berea-Midpark High School who:
  • is pursuing a four-year degree,  
  • is academically successful, and
  • is involved in extracurricular activities and activities within his/her community and,
  • preference is given first to a student majoring in education and second to a science major.
