Rachel M. Laracuente Scholarship
Background: The family is creating this scholarship to honor the memory of Rachel M. Laracuente who passed away from complications of the swine flu in 2009. Rachel was a light in the lives of her family and friends and she is missed very much. She lived with cerebral palsy and a mitochondrial defect that did not allow her to digest food. Her determination and love continue to be an inspiration. The family hopes to pass her light onto others through the establishment of this scholarship.
