Thomas M. Nosek Science Scholarship
Reason established:
Dr. Nosek graduated from BHS in 1965 and then from the University of Notre Dame (’69 BS Physics) and The Ohio State University (’73 Ph.D. Biophysics). He had a career in biomedical research and education at the Medical College of Georgia and Case Western Reserve University. He and his wife Claudia want to encourage graduates of Berea-Midpark, where he started his science studies, to pursue careers in science and engineering.

- is planning to attend a 4-year accredited college or university to study one of the physical or biological sciences or engineering.
- has completed the following essay: What life experiences have inspired you to make this career choice?
Secondary Criteria:
- demonstrates financial need
